Chestnut Parquet Floors
In this gallery you can view a selection of Parfait Parquet professionally finished Chestnut parquet floors. The unique properties of this wood make it a great choice for flooring. It’s a hard wood and very light (blonde in colour so keeps smaller rooms full of light. So it’s perfect for lounges, kitchens and high-traffic areas, such as hallways.
Because of its light colour chestnut can make exceptionally beautiful parquet floors too. With the right preparation and finish, the colour is from clear light blonde wood to honey colouring due to variation in colour across a floor. So, if you have chestnut floors in your property you have lots of options if it needs a little TLC!
Chestnut parquet is also cheaper to buy than Oak parquet by about 30% per m2 so a very cost effective flooring.
We have restored over 2000m2 of Chestnut floors across France, you will often see if heavily stained to look like oak with a reddish tint this really hinds the true beauty of Chestnut wood. We believe accepting the woods natural colour is the best way to enjoy your parquet. As it will enhance any room with it luminous finish when sanded and finished correctly.

Ready to be turned into a beautiful bedroom
A Chestnut Chevron parquet , restored for our client. This floor was an extremely poor condition before we started.
The floor needed an aggressive sanding process, and then was fully gap filled to reseal the joints

This was another complex project. The floor been heavily water damaged, and my clients couldn't find any company that would take on the floor.
Using our specialist spider sander, we were able to remove all traces of the black watermarks & leave a beautiful restored parquet.
